Membership Selection Criteria

CDRA Middle East membership is highly selective and requires demonstrated expertise and commitment to the C&D recycling industry. All applications are evaluated by our independent Selection Committee composed of industry leaders, academic experts, and former regulators.

Professional Member Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in C&D recycling or related field
  • Demonstrated leadership role in at least 3 significant industry projects
  • Two professional references from recognized industry peers
  • Evidence of original contributions to the field (publications, patents, innovations)
  • Interview with Selection Committee required

Fellow Requirements (By Nomination Only)

  • Minimum 10 years of sustained professional achievement
  • Nomination by two existing Fellows or Board members
  • Exceptional and recognized contributions to the industry
  • Leadership role in major regional or international initiatives
  • Published research or widely adopted innovations
  • Full Selection Committee review and vote required

Acceptance Rate

CDRA Middle East maintains rigorous standards. The Selection Committee meets quarterly to evaluate applications based solely on professional merit and demonstrated contributions to the field.

Selection Process

1. Application Submission

Complete online application with professional background, CV, and supporting documentation.

2. Initial Screening

Staff reviews application for completeness and basic eligibility. References are contacted.

3. Committee Review

Independent Selection Committee evaluates qualifications against published criteria.

4. Interview (Professional/Fellow)

Qualified candidates complete virtual interview with committee members.

5. Decision & Notification

Applicants notified within 6-8 weeks. Successful applicants invited to complete registration.
